At Little Compass Travel, we curate thoughtful, beautifully planned journeys on your behalf. As part of our commitment to transparency, the information below outlines how your booking is handled and who your contract is with.

Little Compass Travel acts as an authorised affiliate of Travel Four Seasons (Harpenden) Limited, trading as Travel Four Seasons & Artisan by Travel Four Seasons, registered at 57 High Street, Harpenden, Hertfordshire, AL5 2SL.

When you confirm a booking through us, your contract will be with Travel Four Seasons (Harpenden) Limited and/or the individual travel service provider(s) listed on your confirmation (for example, airlines, hotels, tour operators or cruise lines). Their full Terms & Conditions - and those of each relevant supplier - will apply to your booking. These will always be provided or signposted to you before you commit to travel.

By proceeding with a booking, you confirm that you have read and agree to all applicable Terms & Conditions.

1. Deposits & Payments

Your deposit and/or full balance will be outlined clearly at the time of booking.
Please ensure payments are made by the stated deadlines to avoid cancellation by the supplier or operator.

  • Deposits are non-refundable.

  • All monies are handled in accordance with the financial protection arrangements of Travel Four Seasons (Harpenden) Limited and/or the relevant supplier.

 

2. Cancellations & Amendments

If you need to make changes or cancel your booking, the cancellation terms of Travel Four Seasons (Harpenden) Limited and/or the supplier(s) will apply. These charges vary according to the timing and nature of the change, and in some cases may be up to 100% of the total cost.

Where Little Compass Travel assists with amendments, an administration fee may be charged in addition to supplier fees.

 

3. Your Contractual Relationship

Many travel arrangements involve multiple suppliers, each with their own booking conditions. We will always make sure you receive or have access to the correct Terms & Conditions for your trip.

Little Compass Travel acts solely as an introducer and intermediary. We are not the principal provider of the travel services included in your booking.

 

4. Financial Protection

Your financial protection is important to us. Depending on your chosen arrangements:

  • Eligible flight-inclusive holidays will be covered under the ATOL scheme, and you will receive an ATOL Certificate confirming what is protected and by whom.

  • For non-flight arrangements, your advisor will confirm the specific financial protection applicable through Travel Four Seasons (Harpenden) Limited or the relevant supplier.

Full details will always be provided within your booking documentation.

 

5. Complaints & Assistance

If an issue arises during your trip, please notify the local representative, supplier, or the contact details shown on your travel documents as soon as possible, to allow them the opportunity to assist.

Little Compass Travel will help facilitate communication where needed, but service delivery and resolution sit with the contracted supplier(s).

 

6. Travel Insurance

Comprehensive travel insurance is a condition of booking. Your policy should cover, at minimum:

  • Cancellation and curtailment

  • Medical and repatriation costs

  • Baggage and personal belongings

  • Any activities you plan to undertake

  • Supplier failure cover, where appropriate

Please check that your policy meets your specific needs before travelling.

 

7.  Passports, Visas & Health Requirements

You are responsible for ensuring that all travellers meet the necessary passport, visa, entry and health requirements for your destination(s). Requirements can change, so we strongly recommend checking the latest official government guidance before you travel and again shortly before departure.

 

8.  Force Majeure

Neither Little Compass Travel nor Travel Four Seasons (Harpenden) Limited can be held liable for events outside our reasonable control that may impact your travel plans. These may include, but are not limited to, natural disasters, severe weather, industrial action, pandemics, political unrest, or government restrictions.
